Welcome to Rush City High School
Designed to prepare students for life after high school - whether that be college, vocational school, or employment, Rush City High School's diverse curriculum provides more than 150 semester or year-long courses in: agri-business, art, business, communications, computer science, industrial technology, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies and foreign language.  

Work experience programs in special education, business, and agri-business allow students to attend classes for part of the day, and then apply their skills and knowledge to a job in the community. Rush City students may elect to receive up to 33 college credits through special courses available at the high school. In addition, the high-tech facilities offered at the high school encourages the complete integration of technology into all aspects of daily learning activities.

Students may participate in a wealth of curricular and co-curricular activities including: athletics, fine arts, band, chorus, theater, speech, yearbook, Future Farmers of America, Future Leaders of America, Business Professionals of America, Knowledge Bowl, National Honor Society, Student Council, and foreign language clubs.

Did you know?

Approximately 20 percent of Rush City's students achieve "A" Honor Roll status for four consecutive quarters yearly. 20-25 percent of all students regularly make the "A" Honor Roll.
Band and choir members continuously achieve high ratings at the section/state competitions. They also participate and receive awards at various music festivals throughout the world.

30 local organizations award 55 academic scholarships to Rush City's graduating seniors. In addition, ISD #139 graduates are frequent recipients of institutional scholarships based upon leadership, community service and academics.
